The water problem is global, but the solutions are local, including education. The Great Book of Water: Latin America deals with the importance of water in our region, starting with the water cycle and then reviewing the properties of water as a molecule and how they determine many phenomena in nature. The urban water cycle is also addressed -- how it is that drinking water reaches our homes and where the wastewater that leaves our homes goes -- to finally highlight the great task of sustainably managing this resource.
